While starting off the car we had to be able to use a light material that wouldn't put much force on the car while moving but wouldn't snap when the mousetrap was triggered. We decided to use a light-weight type of wood that would weigh less than the  mousetrap, but would still be able to travel the distance we required.

The original design was almost accurately followed; however we made some alterations due to the weight and size of the car and materials.

 This ended up being the result of the design of the car which wasn't exactly what we went for but it still had the same variations that our initial design had.

The design chosen for our car on 4/23. We chose this design due to its slim design, which makes it travel at a farther distance due to its lightweight components and the balloons on its hind wheels because of the grip of the tires. Also the simplicity of materials makes it easier to create.
